Will initiate charge/payment disputes to resolve coding and payment issues on accounts, research and process insurance denials and appeals, will contact patient/guarantor/third party payer either by telephone or in writing to resolve discrepancies. Physician Assistant
Two Physician Assistants needed a large Pain Management practice. Will perform initial histories and physical examinations on new inpatients, outpatients and pain management pre-operative patients, serve as first assistant in interventional pain management surgery cases, order medications, order diagnostic studies, including but not limited to the following: laboratory tests, x-rays, nuclear studies, MRIs, ultrasound studies, stress tests, and echocardiograms, order screening, typing, cross matching and transfusion of blood products, observe and record patients medical progress, coordinate transfer of post-surgical patients to wards of a non-acute surgical type or to another service to thus provide rehabilitative service to post-operative patients and provide education and counseling of patients and families, within HIPAA Guidelines, in preventative care, medical conditions and the use of prescribed treatments and drugs. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from a PA training program which is certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA); or graduation from a PA training program of at least 12 months duration which is certified by the ARC-PA and a bachelor's degree in a health care occupation or a health-related science; or graduation from a PA training program of at least 12 months duration which is certified by the ARC-PA and a period of progressively responsible health care experience such as an independent duty medical corpsman, licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, medical technologist, or medical technician. The duration of approved academic training and health care experience must total at least 5 years. Must have certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) is a requirement for employment. Openings available in Northeast and Southeast Houston

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in coding in a pain management or Ambulatory Service Center.

Medical Reimbursement Specialist (2)
Large Pain Management facility is seeking two Medical Reimbursement Specialist. Will verify that records for patients include all information required for healthcare reimbursement. Responsible for the daily electronic medical claim transmissions and correction of EDI rejects. Will also contact patients (by letter or telephone) for payments and work out payment plan with patient. Will review EOBs for proper reimbursement, work denials, appeals and follow up with healthcare insurance companies on denied claims and make requests to medical billing unit for re-filing or any other billing inquiries. Will process retroactive Verification of eligibility and review and resolution of all payer correspondence.

Verification Specialist

Will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s provider. Will enter data in an accurate manner. Position will require professional to spend extensive amounts of time on the phone with insurance companies. Minimum of two years of experience working with insurance companies is required. Must possess an extensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policies. Must have excellent multitasking skills and be very detail-oriented and organized. Experience with revenue cycle is highly preferred.
