Duties will include: Assisting with treatment room examination and procedures on patients, providing professional nursing assessment of patients, scheduling appointments, tests, and examinations with hospital and other doctors' offices, proofing and correcting dictated history and physical examinations. Instructs patients verbally and in writing concerning the preparation needed for tests and surgical procedures.
Communicates with health care providers regarding orders and care of patients. Experience in preop, intraop and postop care and to be familiar with epic, is preferred. Required: BLS and provide a current Texas nursing. Salary is $25 – $32
Registered Ultrasound Tech

Registered Nurse
Registered Nurse for a large outpaitent oncology clinic in the Medical Center. RN needs to have two years preferred experience in Medical Surgical nursing and/or Oncology.
Will be a team nurse with at least 2 to 3 other RN's. Duties range from IV blood draw from veins to central venous catheters, monitor patient's symptoms and vital signs, give IV fluid and anti-nausea support, give IV chemotherapy (with appropriate precautions), occasionally infuse packed red blood cells and/or platelets, collaborate with other nurses and Physicians. Will organize the afternoon clinic patients and rounds. Responsible for charting daily in paper charts (for now) on each patient. Hours are 8 am to 7pm daily and on weekends 9 am to 1 pm. Schedules can be tailor-made for the nurse to best suit her needs along with ours. RN would work every 3rd or 4th weekend.

Admissions Specialist
Suburban area hospital has immediate opening for an experienced Admissions Specialist. Long term temporary position!
General Summary:
The Admissions Specialist/Cashier obtains accurate patient demographic and financial information for registration and accurate claim reimbursement. This position is responsible for upfront collections and quoting the estimated patient portion at the time of registration to allow the hospital to collect at the time of service.
The incumbent must also have knowledge of various HMOs, POSs, PPOs, commercial/governmental payors, and be familiar with the hospitals contract agreements with third party payors.
This position is also responsible for ensuring that patients are in the correct patient type, and that the accommodation charges are consistent with the level of care provided.
Primary Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

1. The Admissions Specialist/Cashier obtains and verifies patient demographics and financial information for accurate billing.
a. Ensures that EMTALA laws and patients rights are respected.
b. Creates and determines for the patient and/or guarantor their financial obligation expected by the hospital for the services rendered. A complete understanding and communication of established hospital credit policies must be conducted in every encounter performed.
c. Evaluates method of payment with the patient and discuss other payment arrangements.
d. Reviews patient financial history to identify any outstanding issues with prior accounts that may have a negative impact on reimbursement for services rendered.
2. Updates patient types in a timely manner to correspond to the physician ordered level of care appropriate for the services such as outpatient, observations, inpatient, etc.
3. Daily Deposits and Lockbox Processing: Receive payments via credit card, check and cash from patients. Prepare receipts for timely deposit. Balance daily receipts and ensures minimal overages/shortages. Ensure that lockbox deposit detail is completed in a timely manner.
4. Completes registrations of all patient types and handles all paperwork and duties regarding completing patient Incoming Transfers.
5. Accurately and completely scans all required paperwork for each admission. Creates registration labels as needed.
6. Explore and carefully handle when applicable, the need to reschedule or delay a test or procedure if the necessary doctors order are not received and/or if the hospitals admissions requirements are not being met by the patient and/or guarantor.
7. Maintains and updates reference material on insurance company changes, failed bill reports and MSPQ reports as it relates to the hospitals bottom line.
8. Ensures that area is stocked with supplies and packets provided to patients upon admission, ;other job-related duties as assigned. Salary is $13 – $15
